Elementary Art

Students at Queensbury Elementary School attend art class once every six days, for fifty minutes.

All students should have a smock at the beginning of the year to keep in their classrooms.

The art experience at the elementary level is about more than just learning the introductory skills to paint, draw, and sculpt. Students learn to use their own creativity, learn fine motor skills, find their individuality, and gain confidence through the act of creating art. Students will also learn about history, cultures around the world, as well as reinforcement of lessons learned in the classroom through their art experiences.
