Players, Parents, Fans, Coaches:

Thank you! This has been another unbelieveable year of hockey at Queensbury.  The only team from last year's Final Four in both divisions to make it back to Utica!  We already have our sights on the AUD again next year.  Hard work that begins soon will only help to make that reality.

Coaches: I want to thank my assistant coaches: Greg Porter, Dan Anderson, and Jeff Beecher. These 3 individuals VOLUNTEER their time on a daily basis because of a passion they have for the sport of hockey.  They coach, scout, and "counsel" me throughout the season.  There is no way that I would be able to do what is needed for a program to be successful without their help.  They are so knowledgeable in each of their areas of expertise.  The players respect them and gain so much from them each day.  We have built great relationships, and I hope to continue building on the successes from this past year.  Thank you is simply not enough for all that you do and have done.  Thanks!

Seniors: I will wait until the banquet next week to say all that I wish, but for now I thank you for taking this team "under your wings" and believing that we could truly accomplish what we set out to do.  You have all been a pleasure to work with.  I will miss our serious and not so serious moments we have shared the last 4 months and 4-5 years! The Regional Final was such a special night! I continue to play that over and over in my head. I was so proud of you and thankful that we had another week of hanging around together.

Returning players: Once again you have witnessed and have been a very important part of what it takes to get as far as we did.  Your preparation for next year begins now.  Strength and conditioning have always been a huge part of our program.  Work now so that it becomes habit.  This is a discipline that has to come from you first! I'm excited again for what next year will have in store for us!  Queensbury is "on the map"... take pride, and work hard to keep it there. We again have unfinished business!

Parents: Thank you for supporting your sons and being such a great presence at all of our games.  You have trusted the coaching staff to do what we believe is right for the players and team. We appreciate this support.  I am very fortunate to arrive at games and go right into coaching mode without worrying about all of the important extras that go into a game. From our scoring table to our many fundraisers, you do so much work to make this program run smoothly and successfully!

Fans: We continue to have the best fans anywhere.  I'm so impressed with how many former players, former player's parents, and Queensbury grads that continue to come to our games.  It seems like the fan base grows each game.  Our crowd in Utica was second to none!  I love being at home or on the road and hearing the Q.H.S.!! chant.  It's an awesome feeling.  Our players appreciate all of the support you give us.  The high 5's at the end of home games have become a great tradition that I hope continues well into the future.  Let's keep the big Q flag flying next year!  Thanks again for showing your Spartan Pride on a continuous basis.  I'm glad we gave you plenty to cheer about.  See you all next season.

I believe the most special thing about this year and last is how the entire Spartan Hockey Family (players, parents, fans) have welcomed my family as part of theirs.  My wife, Christine, and children, Patrick and Molly, have been at most games the last few years.  I often see Patrick and Molly hanging out and cheering with students and parents.  You have all made them feel so comfortable and a part of the great memories each November through March.  Patrick walks into the locker room like he owns it and often will give his thoughts on our effort!  I am thankful that they are able to share in what has become a huge part of my everyday life!  They are truly my biggest fans.  Thank you all for making them a significant part of this program.

See you all in November!
