AFTERSCHOOL TRANSPORTATION - ACTIVITY RUNS
Students have the option of taking an activity bus home if they are staying for activities, sports, or detention. There are 3 buses that cover Queensbury’s main roadways. Buses do not go into developments unless it will result in a time or fuel savings on any given day.
Note: Riding the activity bus is a privilege. Students can be denied this privilege for inappropriate behavior.
Students must have a legitimate pass from a teacher to ride the bus, or their name must appear on an active sports roster. Students must be aware of their drop off points. If you have questions regarding exact drop off locations, please call our Transportation Department at (518) 824-5660.
We are unable to give parents exact drop off times because the routes vary daily depending on the number of students and their drop off location.
2:48 Activity run: For High School Students only.
High School students are to obtain a bus pass from the teacher they are staying for. The pass will include the name of the student and the bus number (if students are not aware of the bus number they must call the Transportation Department ahead of time) at ext. 5654. If a student does not have a legal pass, they will not be allowed to ride the buses. Students staying for sports must be on an active roster provided to the Transportation Department by the coaches. If the student’s name is not on that list, he will not be allowed to ride. There are no exceptions. H/S students staying for the 2:48 will be shuttled to the Middle School. They are not to walk from the High School to the back of the Middle School. The shuttle bus will load out in the back loop of the High School and leave promptly at 2:50.
