Below is general information - specific info may be found on the sheets students will bring home before June 25.  The sheets will include lesson schedules and other important information about the Queensbury Summer Music Program.

  • July 7 – ALL Beginning BAND Students must report to the band room at 8:15 for rehearsal.  Intermediate BAND students with 8:15 & 8:45 lessons are to report to their lesson rooms at the assigned lesson time.
  • ALL Beginning STRING Students must report to ROOM 165 at 8:15 for rehearsal.  Intermediate STRING students with 8:15 & 8:45 lessons are to report to their lesson rooms at the assigned lesson time.
  • All other Intermediate BAND Students should report to BAND ROOM at 9:15 for rehearsal.
  • All other Intermediate STRING Students should report to ORCHESTRA ROOM 165 at 9:15 for rehearsal.
  • Students who arrive before their lesson/ rehearsal begins must report to the Media Center .
  • Anytime a student must wait for their lesson or bus pickup, the student must report to the Media Center for a supervised study hall.  This is not an option.  All students must be supervised at all times.  Please bring quiet activities with you such as a book to read for this time.
  • If a student will be absent any day, it is expected that a voice mail will be left for the teachers–
  • Mr. Lewis 824-5600 ext. 3126;
  • Mr. Cirillo 824-5600 ext. 3429;
  • Mrs. Cirillo 824-5600 ext. 3127 -  Please leave the date, student’s name and lesson teacher’s name in the message.  This is for your child’s safety.  If the absence is known in advance, and not already specified on the application form, parents should send in a written note.  All absences MUST be documented.
  • The bus runs for students going home will be 10:15 and 12:20 for the entire session. Any student who must ride the 12:20 bus will be in the supervised Media Center until the 12:20 bus.  We have arranged, whenever possible, for bussed students to have lessons and rehearsals before the 10:15 bus – we base our knowledge of bussed students solely upon the returned application forms.
  • It is expected that ALL students go home on the appropriate bus run.  No student should “hang out” and wait for their friends on a later bus run.  Our program ends at 11:15 each morning.  All students should be picked up by 11:30 am.
  • SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAM CONCERT –JULY 30, 7:00 PM IN THE HIGH SCHOOL AUDITIORIUM.  WARM-UP @ 6:30.  This is part of the program and students are expected to participate.
  • Music:  All students will be assigned music and folders for which they are responsible.  The folder and music will be collected immediately following the concert.  All students will be expected to have turned their music in by that time.  Any missing or damaged music will be charged to the student, just as a missing text book would be during the regular school year.  Fine notices will be mailed home after August 4TH (if necessary).

***PARENTS OF BUSSED STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTACT THE BUS GARAGE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING PICK-UP TIMES AND PLACES.
