The K-3 Music staff strives to offer our students experiences of the highest musical quality. Guided by the New York State Standards and a mapped curriculum, the certified music educators guide students through a variety of lessons and activites which explore many musical concepts such as melody, harmony, form and music reading. These concepts are presented during classroom lessons which include singing, movement, tone bar instrument playing and soprano recorder playing.

Students in 3rd Grade may participate for the first time in an organized choral experience. The 3rd Grade Chorus usually numbers close to 200 students and performs at least once each year at an evening concert. The choral experience continues through High School and is open to all students without audition.
