Principal's Corner
January Regents/Midterm Week
1/22-1/25
No classes - students only report for scheduled Regents or midterm exams
All students will be participating in midterms and/or Regents exams the week of 1/22-1/25. Testing schedules will be mailed home to all students and will be posted in all classrooms this week. Midterm exams will count as 10% of the second quarter grade and will give both students and teachers an indication of how things are going at the mid-way point of the school year. The second quarter ends on Friday, 1/25 and the start of the new semester will begin on Monday, 1/28. Report cards will be distributed to students on Friday, 2/1/08.

Guidance News
Counselors will be going into classes this week 1/7-1/11 to explain the course selection process to all 9th , 10th and 11th graders. Each student will receive a copy of the new curriculum handbook which describes all new and existing courses. Students will be making course requests in the computer lab on-line from 1/15-1/18. If you have any questions about the course selection process, please contact your guidance counselor.
Registration of the Princeton Review SAT Prep Course for Juniors will take place on February 5th, in the high school lobby between 6 pm and 7:30 pm.
Junior Parent Night
A college planning program for all Juniors and their parents will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at 6:30pm. Guidance counselors will present the process, timelines and requirements of applying to college. This is an excellent program for all juniors to kick off the college selection process.
