Principal's Corner

Thank you to all parents who participated in the QHS Open House last week.  The evening provided excellent dialogue between parents and teachers.  We look forward to continuing to work together to have another great school year.
We have had a very smooth opening to the school year utilizing the new block scheduling format.  Initial feedback from both students and teachers has been positive.
Students report that their school day is less stressful, they are able to concentrate more, and they are learning to use their planning and time management skills to manage their academic loads.
Teachers are able to utilize a variety of instructional strategies, incorporate more discussion/debate into their lessons, and are able to allocate more time for individual contact with their students.
The Alternative Scheduling Committee is very interested in hearing parent feedback.  Please email your thoughts to Mr. Patton.
Enjoy the beautiful fall weather!!!!

PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY

Campus Speed Limit is 15 MPH

Parents who pick up their students from school should NOT park directly in front of the main entrance.  Please allow buses to get through to pick up our special needs students.
We appreciate your cooperation!!
