COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

 

COURSE 9R ~ 1 Unit

A Regents level course including the following topics: polynomials; transformations; rectangular coordinates; statistics; logic and quadratic equations.

A school final exam will be taken in June.

 

COURSE 10A ~ 1 Unit

This course will cover the second half of the Math A curriculum over the entire year including the following topics: logic; statistics, quadratic equations; geometry; probability and systems. The Math A Exam will be taken in June.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Course 9A.

 

TOPICS FROM ADVANCED ALGEBRA R ~ ½ Unit

Complex numbers in rectangular and polar form; theory of polynomial equations; functions including trig, log, exponential; arithmetic and geometric series; probability theory, including permutations and combinations; mathematical systems such as groups, field.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Math B Regents

 

PRE-CALCULUS R ~ ½ Unit

Analytic geometry in 2 and 3 dimensions; vectors and vector analysis; sequences and limits; continuity; matrix theory, graphs in various coordinate systems such as polar, cylindrical, spherical.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Topics from Advanced Algebra.
