                            Consumer and Career Skills

                                                                                                                             6th and 8th Grade

 

 

 

                                 Consumer and Career Skills I is a ten week course for 6th grade.  We will learn

                                 kitchen safety, basic nutrition, food prep skills, how to use small sewing equipment,

                                use a sewing machineand complete a sewing construction project!

                          Consumer and Career Skills II is a twenty week course designed for 8th grade.

                               Our curriculum includes desison making skills, focuses on the family, introduces

                              interior design, explores personal money management,explains the relationship

                              between foods and health, developes food preperation skills, continues basics

                             of sewing and expands skill level for sewing project and allows for career exploration

                                                              while matching interests with abilities.
