Spirit Week 2012
Spirit Week 2012 is coming to Queensbury High School October 1-6. Below is a schedule of events for the special week, which is sponsored by the Student Senate. To submit Spirit Week pictures for possible inclusion on the district website or Facebook page, please send them by email along with a brief description of each image to mbraham@queensburyschool.org. New picture submissions will be considered each day of Spirit Week.

| Oct. 1 – 6 |
- Point totals begin in homerooms. Again this year, each homeroom will send their “best dressed” to the café by 9 a.m. for a group picture and entry into the school-wide “best dressed” for additional points.

| Monday, Oct. 1 |
- Attendance – Power of Pink Day (wear pink to support cancer research)
- 2:15 p.m. in Wood Gym – Food Drive (e.g., canned corn, beans, macaroni and cheese, tuna, pasta, soup)

| Tuesday, Oct. 2 |
- Attendance – Super Hero Day
- Optional bulletin board decoration
- 2:15 p.m. in Wood Gym – Volleyball (five males/five females per team)

| Wednesday, Oct. 3 |
- Attendance – USA day (wear red, white and blue to show your patriotism)

Homecoming dance tickets on sale during all lunches for $5.
- 2:15 p.m. in Blue Gym – Pins/Rims competition (eight males/eight females per team)

| Thursday, Oct. 4 |
- Attendance – Class Color Day (seniors = black, juniors = white, sophomores = blue, freshman = gold)
- Homecoming dance tickets on sale during all lunches for $5.
- 3- 6 p.m. – Banners, Queensbury Spartans vs. Albany Academy Cadets (red and black)

| Friday, Oct. 5 |
- Attendance – Blue and Gold Day
- Banner judging
- School-wide barbeque lunches
- Homecoming dance tickets on sale during all lunches for $5.
- 7-8:30 p.m. – Friday night activities. No entry after 7:15 p.m., and no backpacks allowed.

| Saturday, Oct. 6 |
- 1:30 p.m. – Homecoming game, Queensbury Spartans vs. Albany Academy Cadets
- Half-time Activities – Cheerleader performance, parade of banners, Spirit Week totals, Spirit Week champions announcement
- 8-11 p.m. in Blue Gym – Homecoming dance. No jeans or t-shirts allowed. Pre-sale tickets available for $5 during lunch periods the week preceding the game.
