Science Club 'Lifts Off'
The Middle School Science Club finished the year by launching rockets that they created.
Club members learned about design and science/math concepts such as speed, trajectory, distance, acceleration, and power throughout the year before designing their own rocket.
The end result…Success!

QMS PTSO Providing Transportation to Summer Music Camp @ Silver Bay YMCA
QMS PTSO is providing transportation to Silver Bay Music Camp for the one week music camp from Monday, 6/24/13 through Friday, 6/28/13. This is the first week after school lets out for the summer.
This transportation service is free of charge for music students in grades 6 to 8. A district school bus will leave the high school main entrance at 7:30 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. There will be no return bus on Friday, June 28 as there is a recital. Parents must make arrangements for transportation home that day.
Interested band, orchestra, chorus, guitar, and piano students should contact Silver Bay YMCA for details on music camp schedule and instruction or call Chip Deringer at 543-8833, Ext 215. Camp includes individual music lessons on primary instrument with option for instruction on a second instrument, recreational opportunities including archery, rock wall climbing, swimming, etc., and a recital Friday, 6/28/13. Students must register for music camp directly with Silver Bay YMCA.
To sign up for a seat on the bus, contact Irene Jurek via email at email@example.com with student’s name, grade, instrument, phone, and emergency contact number. Seats on bus are limited and will be filled on first come, first serve basis. Attendance on the bus will be taken prior to departure from QHS and Silver Bay YMCA.
This is a QMS PTSO initiative. Please do not contact the music teachers for details.
