Who is Mr. Allen??

My name is Mark Allen, and the 2007/2008 school year is my 7TH year at Queensbury School as a fourth grade teacher. I have lived in Queensbury my entire life and spent an additional 13 excellent years at Queensbury School as a student. I graduated from Queensbury High School in 1995.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1999, and my Master’s Degree in Reading in 2001, both from SUNY Potsdam.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife Sheree, my nearly 3 year old son Skyler, and our newest addition our son Kyan(The Boys).  I also am an avid sports fan who loves baseball and NASCAR. Go Jeff Gordon and the Boston Red Sox!!! One of my favorite things to do during the summers and school vacations is to travel with my family.  I do my best to share my adventures with my students by documenting many of the interesting sites on video, in a series I call “Where in the World is Mr. Allen?” Episodes include trips to many areas throughout Florida, Hawaii, Arizona, Boston, and New York City.

I look forward to another great year with my great new team!  It's always a pleasure to see them grow throughout the school year.
