Congratulations to QES second-grade student Tanner Fearman, who was honored at the World Awareness Children's Museum in Glens Falls last weekend. Tanner's artwork was one of 12 selected in the "World's Greatest Dog: An International Canine Contest." Participants were asked to create a drawing and accompanying written description that explained why their dog was the greatest. His work is currently on display at the museum. Later this year the winning entries will be included in a traveling exhibit that may travel to countries around the world.
LEGO Mania is back at QES! The Afterschool Creative Network invites first- and second-graders to experience the exciting world of LEGO building blocks! This after school activity will have students actively engaged in work with LEGOs to create exciting designs, towers and vehicles. Students will work in teams as they participate in building challenges, all while developing essential collaboration, communication and problem solving skills. The grade one activity is March 5 and grade two is March 6, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the QES cafeteria both afternoons. Registration forms are available in the elementary school ebackpack.
