Queensbury Elementary School’s Creative Network
The Creative Network is a Queensbury Elementary PTSA program that provides quality educational and fun activities for QES students. Creative network was formerly the “after school” creative network. However, the program now provides activities during the school day as well as after school.
In early 2006, the program began a partnership with the town of Queensbury Parks and Recreation Department, strengthening the program and providing even more opportunities for our students.
The first collaborative program was a fitness and nutrition program presented by the Glens Falls YMCA and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Over sixty second and third grade students participated. Since that time, the Parks and Recreation Department and Creative Network have collaborated on a Holiday ornament-making activity for Kindergartens that included materials and instruction from Stavion Beads and Plaster Kreations, a juggling program from High Peaks Juggling, a mobile planetarium, and a visit to 1st grade by the Scotia-Glenville museum that taught the students about weather.
The Queensbury Elementary School PTSA, Creative Network Committee, and the Queensbury Parks and Recreation Department look forward to continuing to work together to provide new and diverse programs to all QES students for many years to come.

MURAL PROJECT PICTURES:
As part of the Creative Network program, second and third grade students worked for two nights with guest presenter, Susan Shanley. In a total of about four hours, 25 students and their parent or guardian created this "Magical Fish Mural" inspired by the waters off of Costa Rica. Beautiful bright colors were used and imaginative design were created! A great time was had by all!! The mural is 4'X 16'!!!
