Queensbury School is very proud
of the contributions the
Shared Decision Making Teams
have made to our district.
Membership: Each Team is comprised of parents selected by parent organizations, faculty selected by the faculty association, principal, nurse, community member, support staff members and students (where appropriate). The teams are trained in such topics as reaching consensus and making decisions, based upon data. People interested in becoming members of the Shared Decsion Making Team are encouraged to contact the group they would be representing.
Responsibilities: Members are responsible to report to their respective group and bring opinions from their constituencies to the table.
Purpose: The purpose of school-based planning and Shared Decision Making is to improve the educational performance of all students in the school, regardless of such factors as social economic status, race, sex, language background or diversity.
