    • College Caravan Coming to QHS

      The College Caravan is once again setting up informational booths in the main hallway of Queensbury High School on Thursday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m. Admissions counselors from twenty-one colleges will be available for approximately 30 minutes to talk with students about their college programs. This is a great opportunity for students who are thinking about continuing their education after high school to get information and have their questions answered by people who review admissions applications each year.     • QHS welcomes Trisha Beamish to the guidance office counseling staff. She is filling in for Mrs. Quaresima while she is out on maternity leave. Beamish earned a Master’s Degree in Professional School Counseling from The Sage Graduate School. and has worked as a school counselor in the Schenectady City School District, and most recently at the Ballston Spa Central School District. Students and parents are encouraged to contact her with any questions they may have.

    • On Tuesday, April 29, from 6-7:30pm, SUNY Adirondack in collaboration with the Adirondack School Counselor's Association, is hosting its annual Spring College Fair. More than 120 post-secondary institutions, as well as the military, will be on hand in the gymnasium at SUNY Adirondack to provide attendees with valuable information about their programs. The program is free and all interested students are encouraged to attend. A flyer, which lists the institutions that will be in attendance, is available in "hard copy" in the high school guidance office, and is also posted on the Guidance website.
