MARK ALLEN CHOSEN AS POST-STAR '20 UNDER 40' AWARD HONOREE
Congratulations to Mr. Allen, 4th Grade teacher, for his selection as a Post-Star '20 under 40' award honoree. This award is for individuals who have demonstrated success and dedication to their careers and who are role models in the community. Mr. Allen leads "Allen's Army" each year to raise money for the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The team is comprised of his current and past students, and has raised thousands of dollars for the cause.


KRISTY MOORE APPOINTED WHBI/QMS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Kristy Moore was appointed WHBI/QMS Assistant Principal at the August 9 Board of Education Meeting. Prior to her appointment as assistant principal, Mrs. Moore taught 4th grade at the WHBI for 6 years, where she was also a grade level leader, member of the Shared Decision Making team and the curriculum development committee. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Rutgers University, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh, and is certified as a School District Leader. Mrs. Moore lives in Queensbury with her husband and 2 year old son.

Report cards will be available online this year through the SchoolTool Parent Portal. Parents/guardians who have not already set up an account for the Parent Portal can download the Request Form and return it in person to any one of our schools (middle school staff are located in the high school for the summer) or during our fall Open Houses. A photo ID is required when returning the form.

FREE/REDUCED MEALS APPLICATION
The cost of breakfast for students in grades K-12 is $1.05, lunch for K-5 is $1.40 and lunch for 6-12 is $1.55. Children from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free or reduced price meals, which cost $.25 for breakfast and $.25 for lunch. To apply for free or reduced price meals, download the application and return it to Mrs. Anderson in the District Administration office.
