• James Doty
    Class of 2014
    Vice President National Honor Society

Doty What are your post-graduate plans?
"I will be attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute to study mechanical engineering. I also plan to run indoor and outdoor track for WPI, and continue volunteering."
    What are your career goals?
"I hope to have a successful career in the field of engineering, so I may work for the benefit of society through a field that interests me. I feel engineering is ideal for me as I thoroughly enjoy mathematics and science and engineering is the culmination of these interspersed with technology and problem-solving."
How have your experiences at Queensbury shaped your goals/dreams?
"My experiences at Queensbury aided me in finding my own path in life. Through the support of my peers and the faculty, I discovered and developed my interests, future plans, and aspirations. I will most miss all of the people that have made an impact on me during my time at QHS - all of my peers, my teachers, my coaches, and my friends that have helped me get to where I am today."
Thinking toward the future, where do you want to be in 10 years?
"Honestly I don't really know. However, I hope that I will be making an impact with my work at an engineering firm somewhere."
What advice would you offer to next year's senior class?
"Go where your passions lead you. With that, keep an idea of what you want to accomplish, but don't let that ideal be too rigid. Things rarely turn out as we imagine they will, so look for your success in what you have achieved."
