Tiffany Montgomery is taking over the role previously held by Assistant Principal Robyn Scotland, who is now the district’s Assistant Director of Support Services. The Capital Region is home for Montgomery, who was most recently teaching third grade in Southlake, Texas.
The club is planning the first annual Health Fair focusing on mental health and wellness. The fair will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Queensbury Middle School and will feature exhibits, speakers and demonstration classes.
Sixth grade students at QMS participated in a six-week Stop-Think-Go pilot program designed to build life skills with students focusing on self-esteem, decision making, stress management, communication, assertiveness and ways to combat bullying/cyber-bullying.
After the performance, the students were able to take a brief tour of the NYS Museum and experience the Corning Tower Observation Deck.
The team carried a 9-2 record in the qualifying rounds to earn a number two seed for the finals where they placed fourth overall.
The QMS Kindness Closet "The Hanger" is now open with clothing and toiletry items available for students. "The Hanger" is also accepting donations of gently-used clothing, accessories and unused toiletries. Please drop off items at QMS.
