Dear families,
We are writing to inform you that the Queensbury High School community has one additional positive case of COVID-19.
We want to assure our school community that we continue to work with Warren County Public Health as they complete their contact tracing.
Following Warren County Public Health recommendations, those who were exposed to the positive individual are under a mandatory quarantine, which will last 14 days, regardless of testing negative for COVID-19. For anyone exposed, Warren County Public Health will reach out and advise on the need to quarantine and arrange for testing.
A reminder that the high school is transitioning to remote learning tomorrow, Oct. 2. As of right now, high school classes are set to resume (as per the in-person learning schedule) on Monday, Oct. 5.
K-8 students will be following their normal in-person and/or remote schedule for Friday, Oct. 2. This means that our elementary, intermediate and middle school students will proceed as normal.
Please contact your building administrators if you would like more information about our health and safety procedures.
Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Warren County Public Health at (518) 761-6580.
Sincerely,
Kyle L. Gannon
Superintendent of Schools
