Adirondack United Girls Ice Hockey Team to start this winter

Each and every year the QUFSD works to improve our overall athletic program. We are proud of the programs that we are able to successfully provide. This year is no exception. We are excited to provide Girls Ice Hockey for the very first time.

Thanks to a six school district collaboration, we will be offering girls ice hockey to our students. Queensbury has partnered with Glens Falls, South Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, Saratoga, and Corinth to create the Adirondack United, the first girls ice hockey team in Section 2.

The team will be led by Head Coach Jeff Willis and Assistant Coach Margaret Lawrence. Final preparations for the upcoming season are being made. The schedule will be available through the Schedule Galaxy page located on our Athletics webpage. We plan to have a full set of games with the opportunity to participate in the NYSPHSAA Championships in March 2023.

With any new program and especially with a merger of six school districts, there are sure to be many questions. An information night will be held on Monday, November 7th at 6:00PM in the South Glens Falls High School auditorium. The address is 42 Merritt Road, South Glens Falls, NY. All attendees should park in the back lot by the athletic fields and enter by the cafeteria. Look for the picnic tables near the entrance.

All interested student-athletes should register through Family ID. This can be found on the Athletics webpage or the QUFSD website. We look forward to seeing you on November 7th. Please contact the athletics office at 518-824-5687 with any additional questions.
