The regular meeting of the Queensbury School Board of Education was held on Jan. 13, 2020 in the High School Queensbury Room.

Call to order

President Borgos called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

The Pledge to the Flag was led by President Borgos.

Motion to approve the agreement between LaSalle School and the Queensbury Union Free School District to provide services to students who reside in the district and attend LaSalle School effective 7/1/19 – 8/31/19.

Motion to approve the revisions and salary adjustment and for the employees covered under the Managers, Non-Certified Professionals & Management Confidential Handbook and approval of language revisions to the handbook.

Motion to approve the salary adjustment and language revisions to the Director’s Handbook.

Motion to approve the agreement between the Queensbury School Transportation Employees and the Queensbury Union Free School District.

Motion to approve the agreement between the Queensbury Buildings & Grounds (CSEA) and the Queensbury Union Free School District.

Motion to approve the following probationary support staff appointments:

  • Jim Coccia asked a question regarding the gold gym
  • Monique Reyes asked a question about an issue that took place in a classroom at the elementary building. Mrs. Reyes was directed to contact the elementary school principal regarding the issue.
  • Sara Coakley requested the Board of Education to establish an intellectual property policy protecting student work

Motion by Mr. Scriver, seconded by Dr. Shea to enter into executive session at 9:00 p.m. relating to interviews, discussion for the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction position and the grading of examinations.
