District receives Tri-County United Way Helping Hands Award

Dr. Huntley and Lisa HigleyOn Tuesday, Sept. 17, the district was presented with the Tri-County United Way Helping Hands Award at the Tri-County United Way Campaign Kick-off held at the Queensbury Hotel.

“I am so proud of our faculty, staff and administrators for their selfless generosity in contributing to the Tri-County United Way,” said Superintendent Dr. Douglas Huntley. “Queensbury employees recognize the great need to help those who are less fortunate by contributing to a most worthy charitable organization – the Tri-County United Way.”

Dr. Huntley commended Lisa Higley and other district employees for their efforts.

“Lisa is the United Way Annual Campaign Organizer for Queensbury and has encouraged and facilitated the district’s generous contributions. Lisa has dedicated so much for so long; I am particularly happy that Lisa’s efforts are recognized in this meaningful way. I also want to thank each of the building representatives who generously give their time to help Lisa with the organization of this district-wide effort; Tracey Bureau, Stephen Collins, Jeremy Williams, Elise Naylor, Molly Peltz, Robin Eichler and Elizabeth Eisenhardt. Finally, I want to recognize the generosity of Liz Dailey and Mary Kate Povak for serving on the United Way Allocations Committee. The time and effort that they devote to this important responsibility is recognized and appreciated.”
