At a special Board of Education meeting on Thursday, Feb. 25, the Board voted to approve football and volleyball to begin effective March 7. Additionally, soccer, field hockey and spirit cheer will compete in the fall 2 season.
“I would like to thank the Board of Education for meeting this evening and discussing high risk fall 2 athletics,” said Superintendent of Schools Kyle L. Gannon.
The district developed a high risk preparedness plan by sport, which was reviewed and approved by the district physician. The plan will be shared with coaches, parents and student-athletes and all protocols must be followed at all times.
