Dear parents/guardians,
As you may be aware, due to new evidence on the Delta variant of COVID-19, the CDC has recommended universal indoor masking for all teachers, staff, students and visitors to schools, regardless of vaccination status. As we want to take all precautions to ensure the safety of our school community, as of Monday, Aug. 2, QUFSD will be updating its protocols as follows:
- Masks will be required indoors when classes are in session or students are in the building regardless of vaccination status;
- Students and school staff are not required to wear a face covering when utilizing outdoor spaces.
- Masks will continue to be required while using QUFSD transportation.
The QUFSD encourages our school community to get vaccinated, if eligible to do so. Please continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and the safety of others, including proper hygiene and social distancing.
We continue to wait for full guidance for the fall term and will communicate that with you as soon as we get it.
