Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:
First and foremost, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation in regards to your flexibility surrounding Junior Prom 2020. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Governor Cuomo’s extension of school closings through May 15, we will once again need to change the date for prom. The 2020 Junior Prom that was rescheduled for Saturday, May 23 will now be held on Saturday, November 21st. We understand how truly difficult this news may be. However, we are committed to ensuring that our Juniors receive the prom that they deserve.
Thankfully, Fort William Henry has been extremely flexible with us and will be able to host this event (as originally planned) in the Carriage House. The prom theme will be Rustic Romance. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the Grand March in the Blue Gym at the High School. Following the Grand March, students will enjoy food and dancing at the Carriage House at Fort William Henry from 8-11 p.m.
The class of 2021 has diligently fundraised over the last several years and due to the financial burden of Covid-19 we are looking to reduce the prices of prom tickets. More information about the new ticket prices and when they will be on sale will follow.
Additionally, the school will still be sponsoring a substance-free, supervised Post Prom Party in the High School following the Prom from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. As a school community we want to do our best to make this an event that excites our students and keeps them safe after prom as each one of our students means a lot to us. Once again, we are hopeful for a large turnout. The party will include many fun activities including: mentalist show, games, prizes, giveaways, and tons of food will be provided all night
Thank you for your continued flexibility and support of our efforts to create a memorable, safe and enjoyable evening for all of our students. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the high school at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
