The fifth annual QMS Pancake Breakfast served more than 350 plates of pancakes on a rainy Saturday morning Dec. 3 in the middle school cafeteria.
The event raised $4,055 for the Adopt-A-Family program, which provides Christmas presents for Queensbury children in need.
The QMS Ambassadors took orders and delivered meals to families as kids and adults took chances on the basket raffle. Kids also got to meet Santa, who helped pick the basket winners.
The record-breaking turnout proves how a community can come together to provide for its children, said Emily Mosher, who coordinated the event.
“After everything our community has been through the past few years, it was so heartwarming to see everyone having fun and being together again,” Mosher said. “This would not have been possible without our community family and our QUFSD family.”
