QHS named school of excellence by NYSPHSAA

Queensbury High School was named a School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) for the 2017-18 school year. Queensbury was one of 22 schools in Section 2 to earn the honor.

To be named a School of Excellence, 75 percent of a district’s varsity teams must achieve scholar-athlete status. For a team to achieve scholar-athlete status, 75 percent of the roster’s average GPA must be greater than or equal to 90.

During the 2017-18 school year, the following varsity teams earned scholar-athlete status:

  • Golf
  • Girls Swimming and Diving
  • Girls Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Boys Soccer
  • Girls Soccer
  • Football
  • Boys Nordic Ski

  • Girls Alpine Ski
  • Boys Basketball
  • Girls Basketball
  • Boys Swimming and Diving
  • Boys Track and Field
  • Girls Track and Field
  • Boys Tennis
  • Boys Lacrosse
  • Girls Lacrosse
  • Softball
  • Baseball
