QHS was recently named the seventh best high school for athletes in upstate New York according to a study from Niche.com. Additionally, QHS was ranked 15th out of 921 schools statewide.
“Anytime you are recognized for this achievement, it is representative of the entire community,” said Athletic Director Rich Keys.
The study compares the best high school sports programs using the following methodology: student and parent reviews of athletics, student enrollment, sports championships won, number of sports offered, boys participation and girls participation. The rankings do not include private schools.
“This recognition is the culmination of a lot of hard work from a number of people. We have great community support, good resources and kids who are dedicated and want to participate in our programs – which is a great thing.”
