QMS VEX team wins design award, moves on to state competition

QMS VEX teamOn Saturday, Feb. 8, Queensbury hosted its fifth annual VEX Robotics Tournament called Adirondack VRC Qualifier. Sixty teams from across New York state and Connecticut registered for the event. This year’s Vex Robotics game “Tower Takeover” required students to stack cubes in their team’s scoring zones and place multiplier cubes in towers for each color. Queensbury had four high school and two middle school robotics teams registered in the event.

Queensbury’s Middle School Team 8876Z earned the design award out of all middle school and high school competitors. In winning the design award, team 8876Z has automatically qualified for the New York state championship tournament. Congratulations!
