Queensbury High School class to hold a Halloween costume drive for kids

Is your child still in need of a Halloween costume?

A flyer about Halloween. The Life and Career Experiences class is holding a Halloween costume drive for kids from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 in front of the Queensbury High School parking lot.

Partnering with Family Services and the Salvation Army, students in the LACE class have collected a lot of new or like-new costumes for families in need.

“It is something I have always wanted to do,” said LACE teacher Lisa Higley. “When I was a teacher at WHBI, I always saw students come to school on Halloween without costumes. It broke my heart.”

Higley reached out to the United Way and some of its agencies to collaborate to help students in need find the perfect costume for Halloween. There are plenty of sizes and options.

“We have collected so many beautiful costumes, and I am so grateful,” Higley said. “It really shows what an amazing community we are part of!”
