Twenty-three Queensbury High School students performed in the NYSSMA Zone 7 Area All-State Festival, which took place on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18-19 at Saratoga Springs High School.
The finest student musicians in the area are chosen through an application and NYSSMA solo audition process. NYSSMA Zone 7 Area encompasses all of Albany, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren and Washington counties.
“These are model students from the Queensbury Music Department, and we are so proud of their accomplishments,” said Gregory Verheyn, chairperson of the Queensbury Music Department.
“The students are following their dreams, and leading by example,” Verheyn continued. “We are grateful for their efforts and the knowledge that they bring back to their school ensembles and classmates. Congratulations to these students, families and teachers for their dedication to music!”
