The Queensbury Union Free School District Music Department has once again received the Best Communities for Music Education award for 2023 from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation.
This recognition is given to schools who have outstanding music programs.
Now in its 24th year, the 2023 Best Communities for Music Education program recognizes 830 school districts and 78 schools across 43 states for the outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders and their support for music education as part of a well-rounded education for all children.
“Our students receive a well-rounded music education by highly qualified and passionate educators,” said Gregory Verheyn, music department chair. “This would not be possible without the generous support in programming, scheduling as well as funding. So, thank you to the administration, and thank you to all the teachers who share their passion, expertise and their love of teaching kids music!”
