Queensbury Voters Pass 2022-23 School Budget

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – On Tuesday, May 17, voters in Queensbury Union Free School District passed a $72,644,898 budget proposal for the 2022-23 school year by a vote of 641 to 189. Under the approved budget, a 2% tax increase will maintain the K-12 education program for Queensbury students next year.

“We are thankful and appreciative for our school community. This budget represents a strong future for all students within the Queensbury UFSD, “ says Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon. 

The voters also approved to establish a capital reserve of $4 million dollars for future construction work and renovation of Queensbury Elementary School. 

Voters also elected the following candidates to fill three open seats on the Queensbury Board of Education:

  • Daniel J. Mannix- 658 votes

    • Term through June 30, 2027 

  • Bradley Goertzen- 603 votes

    • Term through June 30, 2027

  • Beecher Baker- 583 votes

    • Term through June 30, 2023
