QUFSD receives second noncredible ‘swatting’ email

This morning, Oct. 19, 2023, Queensbury Union Free School District received another “swatting” email message containing a generic bomb threat. The New York State Police believe this email to be a noncredible threat.

Last evening law enforcement, administrators and staff diligently searched all buildings. Again this morning, prior to student arrival, they conducted another search and officially cleared the district.

Out of an abundance of caution, the State Police and Warren County Sheriff’s Department will search the buildings a third time. The district worked with its safety and security consultants, and all appropriate safety protocols have been followed. All students and staff will continue with their regular school day.

We thank our local law enforcement for their response and their continued partnership with the district.

As always, please feel free to reach out to your building principal with questions.
