By the end of the week, our reopening plan will be posted on our website for you to review. Additionally, portions of the reopening plan were presented at the Board of Education workshop on Monday. You can view the presentation here.
One element of the plan is parents have the option to choose the form of learning for their child(ren): in-person (in-school) based on the schedules presented Monday evening (K-6 every day; 7-12 hybrid model) or 100% remote learning from home. Students who choose the complete remote learning option will be held to the same grading practices as students who are attending in-person.
As a result, we have established a Learning Preference Form for Remote Learning. If you would like to have your child participate in 100% remote learning, please fill out this form. Parents would need to fill this out for each child that will participate in 100% remote learning. If you plan to send your child(ren) to school, you should not fill out this form. The form is due by 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10.
It is important to note that if you decide to participate in 100% remote learning, you must commit to this option for the entire first marking period (10 weeks). If you choose to send your child back to school, the earliest they can attend in-person will be the start of the second marking period. Filling out the remote learning form is a confirmation to this requirement.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s guidance counselor or building administrators.
