Second graders voluntarily took part in a month-long math fact incentive program called the QES Second Grade S.W.I.M. (students winning in math) Team. Students worked to achieve different levels of math fact practice. The students’ goal was to become a “whale” by completing the highest level of 1,500 math facts by the end of the month. There were 113 gold medal finalists who achieved all 4 levels! A total of 139 students participated in the program.
