Free and Reduced-Price Meals

  • Queensbury schools offer children and staff a choice of well-balanced, nutritious meals each school day. Children who meet federal income guidelines may be eligible to receive schools meals for free or at reduced price. The free and reduced-price meal benefit entitles a student to a full school meal; snacks and a la carte items do not qualify under the program.

Get a full school meal for 25 cents or less if you meet these income guidelines poster To find out if your child is eligible for free or reduced-price school meals and to apply for the benefit:

Call (518) 824-3605 with questions about your family's enrollment status.

All meals served must meet nutrition standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. If a child has been determined by a doctor to have a disability and the disability would prevent the child from eating the regular school meal, the school will make any substitutions prescribed by a doctor at no extra charge. Please note, however, that the school is not required to make a substitution for a food allergy unless it meets the definition of a disability.
