March 19 Letter regarding child care for essential workers

Are you an essential healthcare worker or first responder and need child care?

Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order 202.4, school districts in NYS are required to establish and submit plans for the care of children of essential health care workers and first responders.

Essential health care workers may include licensed health professionals such as physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, LPNs and nurse assistants or laboratory personnel. First responders may include paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers and firefighters.

Queensbury Union Free School District, in conjunction with the WSWHE BOCES, is working together with local county providers and existing licensed daycare providers to find open placements for families of essential health care workers and first responders.

The Southern Adirondack Child Care Network is a not-for-profit child care resource and referral agency whose purpose is to assist parents with finding and selecting child care.

If you are an essential healthcare worker or first responder in need of child care, please complete and submit this form. Your information will be shared with Lynn Sickles, Executive Director for the Southern Adirondack Child Care Network.
