April 9 Update from Superintendent Gannon
We received clarification that Governor Cuomo’s closure announcement is through April 29. The earliest we would return to school is Thursday, April 30. We will continue to update you if this changes and as we learn more information.
Please read the following updates:
Course Credit Update
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has announced that students will be able to earn diploma credit for courses without taking regents exams. More information about the details of these requirements will be provided to affected students in the days ahead. More detail can be found in this Guidance Memo from NYSED, and in an FAQ document about graduation and the Regents.
Food Services, Child Care and Instruction
While all events and activities remain canceled during this time, we will continue providing meals to families. Our teachers have been in contact with students and their families to provide instructional materials, and will continue to do so throughout this extended closure in accordance with the district’s plan for continuing instruction. More information can be found on our district website. Additionally, view information about child care for essential employees.

We will continue to keep the community updated as we learn more.
