Six individuals test positive for COVID-19

The Queensbury Union Free School District has confirmed six new cases of COVID-19 in our school community. The cases include:

  • An individual associated with the QES community who was last in the building on Tuesday, Dec. 22. As a result, there are no school contacts related to this case.
  • An individual associated with the QMS community who was last in the building on Tuesday, Jan. 5. As a result, those in close proximity have been directly contacted by a school administrator to discuss quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions.
  • An individual associated with the QMS community who was last in the building on Tuesday, Dec. 22. As a result, there are no school contacts related to this case.
  • Two individuals that are members of the same household, one associated with QMS and the other with QHS, who were last in the building on Friday, Dec. 18. As a result, there are no school contacts related to this case.
  • An individual associated with the QHS community who was last in the building on Tuesday, Dec. 22. As a result, there are no school contacts related to this case. 

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

All of our health and safety precautions remain fully in effect. They include mask wearing, social distancing, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting, and the Pinpoint daily health screening. We again remind you that it is critical to answer the daily screening honestly and that anyone who is sick should stay home. These are important precautions designed to limit the spread of the virus. We continue to work closely with Warren County Public Health and follow their guidance on how to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
