Two individuals test positive for COVID-19

The Queensbury Union Free School District has confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 in our school community. The cases include:

  • An individual associated with the QHS community who is part of the remote learning program. As a result, there are no school contacts.
  • An individual associated with the QHS community who was last in the building on Tuesday, March 23. As a result, we are working on contacting those in close proximity with the individual to discuss any quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions.

At this time, the district plans to reopen for in-person instruction for grades 6-12 on Monday, March 29. Families would be notified if the remote learning period needs to be extended.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Please contact your building directly if you would like more information about our health and safety procedures. Any additional questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Warren County Public Health at (518) 761-6580.
