Two individuals test positive for COVID-19

Dear families,

The district learned late yesterday, Nov. 24, that two individuals from the Queensbury Union Free School District community have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals were last in the district on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Wednesday, Nov. 10, respectively.

At this time, Warren County Public Health is not advising any other individuals to quarantine and/or to be tested due to the risk of transmission being minimal.

If you would like to be tested out of an abundance of caution, please visit the New York State COVID-19 web page to find a testing location near you or talk with your healthcare provider.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

The district continues to thoroughly clean and disinfect all buildings on campus, in accordance with guidance from the New York State Department of Health and the CDC.

Any questions, including information about testing procedures, can be directed to Warren County Public Health at (518) 761-6580.

Sincerely,

Kyle L. Gannon
Superintendent of Schools
