
2008-09 SCHOOL BUDGET VOTE MAY 20TH
The annual District Budget and Trustee Vote will be held May 20, 2008 from 10:00 to 8:30 pm in the elementary school gym. The first proposition on the ballot is a proposed 2008-09 budget that shows a 2.67% increase, which is less than the current rate of inflation. The second proposition is to fill two Board of Education vacancies; candidates are Frank H. Miller, Jr. and Raymond Gordon. Please Click

Douglas Huntley chosen to fill the Superintendent position
The Queensbury Union Free School District’s Board of Education has successfully concluded the search for a new superintendent to replace Dr. Brian Howard who is retiring in August. The district is pleased to announce that Mr. Douglas W. Huntley has been offered the Superintendency. The Board of Education expects to appoint Mr. Huntley on May 12th at the Board of Education meeting, and he will start in August. Click

QMS Night of the Arts
A night dedicated to Queensbury Middle School highlighting and celebrating the artistic achievements of our students. Come enjoy musical, vocal, and dance performances of QMS students while walking the hallways, viewing the visual art. There will be refreshments served with a students provided butler service for you convenience. All are welcome to come and enjoy the talents of all of our students. Tuesday May 20th, 6:30-8.
Don't Miss the 3rd Annual Spartan Sprint
The third annual Spartan Sprint will be taking place Sunday, June 8th. It will begin with a family fun race at 9:00 am and be followed with a 5K open race at 10:00 am. The 5K race is open to all students, employees and families of the QUFSD. Click

David Warlick of the Landmark Project to speak
David Warlick of the Landmark Project will be speaking on the topic of "The Digital World of our Students" on May 27th. Mr. Walick is a nationally renowned author, educator and presenter and will be starting off the day presenting to faculty as part of the Superintendent's Day activites. Parents, students and members of the community are invited to attend an evening session at 7:00 pm in the QHS Auditorium. Click

17th Annual Regional Art Ceremony
