Parents as Partners flyer.

Executive function and self-regulation skills provide critical supports for learning and

development. These skills allow us to retain and work with information in our brains, focus our attention, filter distractions, and switch mental gears.

For various reasons, some children and teens need explicit instruction and many opportunities to practice these skills.

Dr. Jennifer Bashant will offer a virtual workshop to discuss “Strategies for Developing Executive Function Skills at Every Developmental Stage,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3.

During this webinar, participants will learn strategies to help their children develop and use these critical skills.

As parents and caregivers, we help our children build the skills they need to focus, manage emotions, and handle life’s challenges,” said Christine Delaney, Queensbury Union Free School District’s director of Social and Emotional Learning and UPK. “Executive function skills grow over time, and this webinar will share simple ways to support your child’s development at every age.”

This webinar is for families with elementary students. To register in advance for this webinar, go to: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_rWnrtBmHQYOEmdwtqewVug#/registration
