Queensbury Union Free School District is mourning after the unexpected passing of long-time Queensbury High School teacher Marc Biddiscombe.
“Queensbury is devastated by this loss,” said Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon. “Marc was a dedicated educator, beloved by his students and his colleagues. He had a remarkable way of connecting with all of his students. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all of those grieving this tremendous loss.”
Biddiscombe taught U.S. history and economics at Queensbury High School since 2000.
In difficult times like these, the district’s crisis teams assemble to support students, faculty and staff. School counselors, psychologists and social workers will be on hand to provide assistance to anyone in need.
“Marc was an incredible teacher,” said Queensbury High School Principal Andrew Snide. “He made amazing connections with kids and had fun bringing real-world lessons to life. He’s had a long-lasting impact on his 11th and 12th grade students, and his colleagues are going to be deeply impacted by this loss.”
