Voters in Queensbury Union Free School District passed a $85,973,621 budget proposal for the 2026-27 school year on Tuesday, May 19 by a vote of 549 to 296. Under the approved budget, a 2.5% tax levy increase will maintain the UPK-12 education program for Queensbury students next year.

“I’m grateful for the support from our community and look forward to what lies ahead as we keep collaborating to strengthen our schools,” said Superintendent of Schools Kyle Gannon. “These funds will help us sustain our current programs and give our students the tools they need to thrive.” 

Voters also elected the following candidates to fill two open seats on the Queensbury Board of Education:

  • Dawn Bleyenburg - 665 votes

Term through June 30, 2031

  • Nicholas Paigo - 618 votes

Term through June 30, 2027
