Four Queensbury student-athletes — Alex Coombes, Kyle Ball, Lindsey Pepe and Kaitlyn Barton — have been named All-American Athletes by the National High School Strength Coaches Association. This is the second year Kyle Ball has been awarded All-American status.

The NHSSCA All-American Award is given annually to high school athletes who demonstrate outstanding achievement on and off the field regarding strength and conditioning, athletic performance, academics and leadership.

All four students were nominated by Queensbury coach John Martin, who also serves as the New York State director for NHSSCA.

“Each nominee has to reach a certain level of physical performance within the weight room using performance metrics and then is evaluated on their on-field and off-field performance,” Martin said.

The student-athletes will be recognized at the national conference in Dallas, Texas this June as a member of the 2024 class of All-Americans.
