Thirty talented Queensbury band students attended the 2025 SWCMEA All-County Band Festival, held Oct. 23 and 25 at Saratoga Springs High School. Students were selected to participate through a competitive process representing the best young musicians from 15 schools across the region.

The festival featured only six hours of collaborative rehearsals, at which students worked intensively with guest conductors from various Capital Region schools. The collective efforts of these musicians culminated in an exciting concert performance on Saturday, Oct. 25 showcasing the skills and dedication of the ensemble.

The SWCMEA All-County Band Festival provides a unique opportunity for young musicians to experience high-level ensemble performance under the guidance of esteemed educators and conductors, fostering their growth and passion for music.

“We are proud of these students for their commitment to growing as musicians,” said K-12 Music Department Chairperson Gregory Verheyn, “and for their dedication to going above and beyond, both in and out of the classroom!”
