It is time to register for kindergarten at Queensbury Elementary School. Children must be residents of Queensbury and 5 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2026 to register for kindergarten. Please register for kindergarten by March 31, 2026 at https://www.queensburyschool.org/o/qufsd/page/kindergarten-round-up.
After registering online, parents will receive a letter with an appointment date and time in May to bring your child in for a Kindergarten Round-up screening. Children must be registered in order to obtain a Round-up appointment.
Kindergarten Round-up is conducted by a team of school specialists, including kindergarten teachers, reading teachers, school nurses, and speech-language pathologists. During this time parents also have an opportunity to meet with our Transportation Department and school office staff.
Children who are currently enrolled in Queensbury’s universal prekindergarten (UPK) program do not need to register for kindergarten and do not need to attend Kindergarten Round-up. Those students will automatically transition to kindergarten.
